Sustaineble Energy Day in Vinkovci

May 18. 2018. In the framework of the project SUECH, Interreg V-A Hungary-Croatia Co-operation Programme 2014-2020, the Sustaineble Energy Day was held in Vinkovci, at the Elementary School Vladimira Nazora. This event was conceived as a series of workshops for elementary school students and the teachers of natural and technical subjects of elementary level.

In the introductory part, the attendees welcomed the school’s principal, Mr. Damir Burić, Deputy Mayor of the City of Vinkovci, Mr. Gabriel Šokičić and Director of the project’s partner Renewable Energy Sources Osijek Ltd., prof. dr. sc. Davor Kralik.

The theme of the workshops for both the students and the teachers was, as the very name of this event tells us, sustainable energy, that is, what the concept of sustainable energy encompasses – energy from renewable sources and efficient management of the same. The teachers were informed about ways to teach students about the energy efficiency concept, while the students, through a creative and interactive approach, were encouraged for critical thinking on this sensitive issue and pointed to many facts related to energy sustainability.
