Dear Madame/Sir,

We are cordially inviting you to the SUECH project cross-border conference, which will be held on March 7, 2018 starting at 10:00 am in the Hall 03 “Mursa” (ground floor) of Faculty of Civil Engineering in Osijek, Vladimira Preloga 3, Osijek.

The City of Osijek, together with its partners from Croatia, the Regional Development Agency of Slavonia and Baranja, Renewable energy sources Osijek Ltd., NGO EU Centar and partners from Hungary, the Inno-Motive Regional Development and the Kozármisleny City Council, are implementing a project aimed at improving the quality of life and environment in cross-border area through joint activities in the field of sustainable energy use, including energy efficiency in public facilities.

The project will explore the legal framework for the implementation of energy efficiency measures in buildings in both countries, to prepare project documentation for energy-efficient reconstruction of buildings in Osijek and Kozarmisleny and to conduct a series of educational activities (workshops, conferences, energy days, study tours) for regional and local government and self-government, and for the academic community, professionals and citizens. The aim of the project is to ensure the practical application of efficient and sustainable use of energy in the buildings on both sides of the border and in all segments of society through the strengthening of the existing links and the dissemination of existing knowledge.

The project lasts for 12 months and ends on 31 May 2018. The value of the project is 246.979,60 € of which the European Union has co-financed the project with 209.932,66 €.
